Whispers in the Woods

I've always felt a deep, almost ethereal connection with nature, especially with this ancient tree nestled along the Cedar River. Through countless seasons, our spirits have greeted each other.

I recall a moment, lost in the pages of a book within her supporting branches, when an inchworm graced my page. In that simple encounter, I was taught the profound lessons of patience and mindfulness, a gentle nudge towards appreciating every fleeting moment. It was during my initial steps into the world of herbalism and my awakening with my own spirit when I first encountered this tree. Since then, she has been an integral part of my spiritual journey, a silent guide in my quest for deeper understanding.

Feeling this profound connection, I embarked on an unconventional experiment. Like, communicating with the tree using ghost hunting equipment. I understand it may sound eccentric, but I approached it with an open heart and a curious mind. With the guidance of a friend experienced in communicating with energies beyond our perception, we set up the EMF reader and spirit box, focusing my energy towards the tree. Initially, we were met with static and random noise, but soon, patterns began to emerge. The spirit box reader emitted sound that pulsed with a distinct rhythm whenever I acknowledged the tree or posed a question, while the spirit box seemed to weave words related to what I said. It was an otherworldly experience, as if the tree itself was responding, using the equipment as a conduit for its ancient wisdom. I even felt like the tree was using the equipment to respond.

However, the most profound moments occurred when the gadgets were turned off. Sitting in stillness, simply listening to the whispers of the wind through her leaves, I realized the true essence of our connection. It was in these moments of quiet contemplation that the tree revealed her deepest secrets, speaking directly to my soul.

Really, Ive been communicating with this tree for years. Even with the professional equipment to communicate with the spirit of the tree, I felt I could read more from the tree with my own ways of communicating. Listening with an open mind and heart, and feeling all around me. How the wind brushes my hair, how the sunlight hugs my skin, how the water dances in the current, how the insects and birds bring messages. I listen to all of these things, feel all of these things, and let my heart hear it freely. In this way, I've gathered so much sacred wisdom from small moments of mindfulness and connection in nature. Just me and my heart, no equipment required.

It hit me that we don't need fancy equipment to connect with nature or the spirit world. Those small feelings, that intuition that tells us we're part of something bigger – that's what really matters. Trust those feelings. Trust your heart. We are all connected, after all.
